Major (Dr.) Samhita Bhushan is a consultant Neuropsychiatrist.
working as assistant professor at RD GMC, Ujjain. She belongs to the state of Jammu and kashmir in India .She pursued her profession with passion and dedicating her services to the armed forced.
Samhita is an independent woman balancing professional and personal life. Her inclination towards research in the field of cannabis and its dynamics in Indian market got her awarded scholarships as Asian scholar at ISSDP’17 and 1 st Asian ISSDP’19 subsequently for research work in Indian Cannabis dynamics. She has relentlessly campaigned as a physician for introduction of Medical Cannabis in palliative care in India.
She showcased her original research on a ‘Rare case series of Huntington Chorea with psychiatric manifestations’ at International congress of Royal college of Psychiatry’17.
Dr Samhita contributed as a guest speaker representing Asia at “The European congress of legal and regulation of Cannabis” on 13-14 Feb’20.
DrSamhita is currently undertaking various research projects on psycho oncology and stress spectrum in life of doctors.She has been taking various lectures for medical and nursing students and even awareness lectures for general public.With a motto of “Women empowerment” and as a member of Redcross society,Dr.Samhita works for welfare of women contributing to society.
